Yoga improves one’s quality of life. It has also been recommended as an adjunct to physiotherapy, chiropractic therapy, psychotherapy and standard medical treatments for a number of reasons.

Yoga as Therapy

One of the advantages of yoga as a complementary therapy is its adaptability to patients with a wide variety of physical conditions. The asanas (physical postures) and breathing exercises can be tailored to the person’s needs. Yoga may help with many kinds of physical, emotional or mental problems.

Yoga is not a competitive sport, and a “good” practice is defined as whatever one’s body and mind are capable of giving on a specific day. We know that each individual is different and encourage each individual to practice at their own pace.
