One-on-one sessions are tailored to the individual client, allowing him or her to focus on personal challenges. These sessions can be done in person or if you don’t live in Nelson or Richmond in New Zealand via Skype or Zoom online.
Typically, a private mindfulness session starts with a conversation and continues with a focused, guided, mindfulness meditation bringing awareness and reflection to the specific challenges identified during the initial conversation.
Jamila’s focused private mindfulness sessions are designed to go to the heart of your concerns. It’s a good idea to start with one session, to see how it feels. Typically, five or six private sessions will be enough to address a particular issue and to establish a personal practice.
Practising mindfulness can be helpful as a standalone practice, as a complement to other forms of therapy, or as the first step in a journey towards wholesome long term changes.
Each private session is typically 60 minutes long. After each session you will receive a 15-20 minute guided mindfulness meditation audio file for daily home practice.
